Project Manager

This role will be working directly with a specialty retail client to launch a new gift card program by holiday.

Description

The Project Manager role is a client implementation role partnering with our client’s internal stakeholders including IT, Accounting, Loyalty, Marketing/Brand, and Innovation teams as well as the client’s external vendors/partners including a processor, technology platform provider, and production vendor. This role will require the Project Manager to facilitate all deliverables among the internal and external stakeholders and implement high-quality and timely project deliveries which most effectively meet clients’ business needs.

Excellent communication skills across a variety of mediums are necessary to be successful in this role. This includes leading conference calls with internal and external stakeholders, creating and managing project documentation, collaborating with internal product experts, and interacting directly with several vendors as we lead our merchant client through the process of implementing a new gift card program.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage simultaneous RFP processes (up to 4 new vendors needed) with our strategic consulting team and our Merchant client
  • Monitor and manage relationships with vendors and client stakeholders during the implementation process
  • Track deliverables and provide client and internal stakeholders with regular project status updates as well as problems and solutions
  • Deliver high quality and timely implementations
  • Lead regular client calls/meetings and manage client expectations throughout the project

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in a client service, business analyst, or project management role
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent preferred but not required
  • 25% travel will be required (up to 1 week per month)
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Some knowledge of the payments industry, retailers or more specifically, gift card technology is preferred
  • A proven record of delivering projects efficiently and effectively
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • This is a contract position: Minimum 15 week engagement
  • 20 hours per week
